MY ROOTS KITCHEN
Welcome to my incredible journey through traditional cooking! Since I was a young girl, the source of my inspiration was my grandmother, Domitila, from my mother's side. She was the one who taught me the very first steps and introduced me to the magical world of cooking. However, that wasn't the only place where I found my passion for culinary arts.
During my visits to my grandparents on my father's side, who had a humble farm tucked away in the mountains of Ecuador, I discovered a whole new level of inspiration. The air was always filled with the aroma of fresh produce and delightful baked goods. I can still vividly remember the unforgettable moments of savoring traditional soups made with wholesome ingredients like quinoa, potatoes, and succulent lamb.
Cooking became much more than a mere act of preparing meals. It transformed into a beautiful family affair, with everyone eagerly participating. Even my beloved grandfather could be seen sitting on a sturdy wooden stool, diligently peeling and expertly shaping potatoes with a sharp knife. These precioexperiences engraved a deep and unwavering love for cooking within my heart. It is my pleasure to share these amazing home-cooked dishes from my traditional Ecuadorian/Spanish heritage with all of you.
I have also been fortunate to fall in love with my husband's passion for food in the Greek culture and cuisine. My mother-in-law has passed on many traditional Mediterranean recipes that I absolutely cherish. Together, we will bring you sensational dishes from both Hispanic and Mediterranean roots. What a delicious combination!
Cooking makes my heart sing. I have a deep love for healthy foods made with fresh, simple, and seasonal ingredients. As a recipe developer and passionate home cook, my goal is to bring sensible and easy recipes from our roots to your table, keeping our traditions alive.

Hello MyRootsKitchen customers!! I hope everyone is doing amazing at the start of this year :)
The great news is that very soon we wil reopen and now under the cottage food law I am certified to produce specific foods at home to sell to the public. I am deeply saddened to inform you that I am not allowed to continue producing my biggest sellers starting in 2022, which are; Greek spinach pie ‘spanakopita’, cheese empanadas and ‘tres leches cakes’ due to restrictions with this law.
